2022 Stewardship Campaign: All Things New

Pledge online

This fall, please join in turning our hearts and minds towards the many blessings we have received, and reflecting on how we will choose to offer our generosity to the church and to the world. Our theme for contemplation and action this season is All Things New, inviting us to live into this promise that God makes to us. Curious to learn more? Check out this short explanation on what pledging is all about, along with a fun "Resurrection by the Numbers" set of trivia.

Pledge cards for 2022 are being mailed to the congregation, and will be available in the office and narthex (entryway) at church. You can also make your pledge online here. Our Ingathering Sunday will be October 24th — if possible, please make your pledge on or before that Sunday. Thank you!

Annual Financial Pledge

Although stewardship is not just about money, our attitude toward it and the ways we choose to spend it are powerful indicators of both our recognition of what God has given us, our thankfulness for it and what is important to us. Our financial giving, therefore, should be an intentional reflection of these things. A useful measure for assessing our financial giving is as a percentage of income, rather than a dollar amount. A tithe (10% of income) is the biblical standard of giving. For most, it is a goal to be reached through incremental increases each year.
Annual pledges support everything we do at Church of the Resurrection, and your pledge commitments give us a financial foundation upon which to develop our programs and our budget. Every pledge, no matter what its size, is a valuable contribution to our mission and ministry and a powerful statement of our commitment to work together in the building of our community and God’s kingdom. If you would like to make an annual pledge, please contact the church office to receive a pledge card, or you can make your pledge online here.
Stewardship is about recognizing that everything we have is a gift from God, and being grateful, responsible stewards of those gifts. As a fundamental part of Christian discipleship, good stewardship is the return of a portion of those financial gifts to the work of Christ’s Church here at Church of the Resurrection, so that it continues to be a place where we grow in faith and share God’s love.
Your support of Church of the Resurrection enables the mission and ministry of our parish through many and varied programs and offerings which enrich and transform lives and build up the community and the world around us. These include engaging worship services, programs for children, youth and families, adult education, pastoral support, spiritual guidance, fellowship and outreach ministries.

One-time Gifts

Special gifts are always welcome, and may be made in support of a special need or in thanksgiving for life’s blessings and/or milestones.

Give Appreciated Stock or Mutual Fund Shares

When most people think of donations, they think of cash donations. But when it comes to charitable donations, there may be another way.  Church of the Resurrection of course, always appreciates and encourages cash donations – but cash donations often affect your cash flow and usually represent after-tax dollars.

Donating appreciated stock or mutual fund shares represent a great way to donate while also saving on taxes. Some of the benefits of donating appreciated stock or mutual fund shares can be:
•    Avoid Capital Gains or ordinary income Tax of 18.8% - 40%
•    Deduct the fair market value of the stock (regardless of your cost basis)
•    Have greater impact by having the church receive full value of your gift, rather than the IRS taking their portion

Gifts of appreciated stock or mutual funds to the church is an easy and fast method to donate. To learn more, click here, or contact Tim Repp at

Support the Future of Church of the Resurrection

We can ensure that the faith community which has so enriched our own lives will be here for future generations by way of contributions to the Legacy Fund. If you would like to learn more about making a planned gift to Church of the Resurrection, please contact the church office.
