MEN'S RETREAT
BISHOP'S RANCH
NOVEMBER 8-10, 2019

APOSTLES OF YESTERYEAR AND TODAY

We again organized the 2019 Mens Retreat without an outside speaker.  Klaus Berkner was in charge of the retreat and lead discussions. We met in Harrison House. The theme of the weekend evolved through portrayals of two apostles of yesteryear and discussions of their lives compared to our own. Two of the three Disciples from 2018's retreat agreed to return as Apostles:

Bill Deane portrayed Saint Patrick (373-463 A.D.) Apostle of Ireland.

Scott Epperson portrayed Saint Boniface (680-755 A.D.) Apostle to the Germans.

How do their stories help to equip us to grow our faith by "Connecting with God, Connecting with Others, Reaching Out in Faith"?  Am I an apostle?  What am I doing that is admirable? Am I being true to myself?  How do the weaknesses of the early apostles compare to my own failures?
