MEN'S RETREAT
BISHOP'S RANCH
NOVEMBER 8-10, 2019

APOSTLES OF YESTERYEAR AND TODAY

We will again be organizing this year without an outside speaker.  Klaus Berkner is in charge of the retreat and will lead discussions. We will be meeting in Harrison House. The theme of the weekend will evolve through portrayals of three apostles of yesteryear and discussions of their lives compared to our own. The three Disciples from last year's retreat have agreed to return as Apostles:

Bill Deane will portray Saint Patrick (373-463 A.D.) Apostle of Ireland.

Scott Epperson will portray Saint Boniface (680-755 A.D.) Apostle to the Germans.

Frank Kelly will portray Saint Damien of Molokai (born January 3, 1840 in Belgium and died April 15, 1889 in Hawaii) Apostle of Hawaii who served as missionary to the lepers.

How do their stories help to equip us to grow our faith by "Connecting with God, Connecting with Others, Reaching Out in Faith"?  Am I an apostle?  What am I doing that is admirable? Am I being true to myself?  How do the weaknesses of the early apostles compare to my own failures?
