Prayer For Young Persons from The Book of Common Prayer

God our Father, you see your children growing up in an unsteady and confusing world: Show them that your ways give more life than the ways of the world, and that following you is better than chasing after selfish goals. Help them to take failure, not as a measure of their worth, but as a chance for a new start. Give them strength to hold their faith in you, and to keep alive their joy in your creation; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Youth Group

There are many opportunities for teens to grow in faith through trusted personal relationships with their peers and appropriate adult advisors.  We are committed to creating a safe place place for middle and high school teens where matters of the heart and soul can be shared and discussed. All staff and volunteers who work with young people at Church of the Resurrection has been background-checked by the state of California and have received training and recognizing and preventing child abuse.

Youth Group
On most Sundays our youth group meets on Sunday evening. In addition to goofing around we explore a range of contemporary issues of life and faith. Our hope is to give our kids a solid understanding of the Episcopal Church and Christianity, then ask them to question it, test it with their own experience and apply it to the world. The teens also take on periodic service projects, retreats and trips to places like Squaw Valley, Disneyland and Santa Cruz.
Boy Scout Troop 405
Our church sponsors Boy Scout Troop 405. The troop meets every Monday night at 7:30 pm. For more information visit their website at

Woods to Waves

St. Dorothy's Rest, Camp Meeker

Camp St. Dorothy’s are the two weeks of hospital camps, a tuition-free program for campers with cancer, sickle-cell anemia or organ transplants in partnership with UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital in Oakland, California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco and Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford.

Woods-to-Waves raises funds to cover the cost of hospital camps and it’s great fun. Join us and a bunch of friends of St. Dorothy’s, and maybe even your dog as we walk, run or mountain-bike 2, 12.5 or 14.6 miles from St. Dorothy’s in the redwood hills of western Sonoma County down to Shell Beach on the salty Pacific Ocean. The path is beautiful, moderately strenuous for the first 2 miles, and it’s a great way to show your support St. Dorothy’s and hospital campers.
